Nadar Saraswathi Primary School

This School was started on 1919 in the place of Thevaram Jameendar, next in Periyakulam road, then it is shifted to Edamal street by buying a own place by constructing the Compound wall. Due to the continuous increase in strength of the students, new class rooms were constructed near to Theni Nadar Saraswathi Higher Secondary School in the year of 1985 By the selfless service of TMHNU Management members, Continuous support of the people, guidance of educational officers, charity of teachers and by the Eager of the Students, this school has growed to a grand success with the strength of 3817 students and 94 teachers..

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
We have implemented Sports and the games for our school children in very systematic way. The training in sports and games is given by trained physical Education Teachers and professionals. The physical Education and sports initiative is meaningful because these activities are an extension of the classroom, adding an import element to Holistic Education. Physical Education and Sports, along with other co-curricular activities to educational process that allow children to the expand their knowledge and experience outside the classroom that is consistent with the overall philosophy and goals of todays education. To expose the inherent potentialities of the students the school provides skill development events like computer, Spoken English, Hindi, Bharatham, Yoga, Karate, Chess, Carrom, Drawing, Silambam and other activities.     Today's Children's are tomorrow's Citizens according to this, the school is motivating the children to get leadership quality, Patriotism, service mind by organizing the Junior Red Cross, National Service Scheme and Green Environment Cell etc. In this special cell more than 200 students are learning the good habits and Qualities. These students are rendering their services by maintaining the school campus clean, controlling the students, helping during the school functions, Planting the trees, etc. Also, they not only Plant the trees during the functions but also they care of the plants regularly.
