This School was started on 1919 in the place of Thevaram Jameendar, next in Periyakulam road, then it is shifted to Edamal street by buying a own place by constructing the Compound wall. Due to the continuous increase in strength of the students, new class rooms were constructed near to Theni Nadar Saraswathi Higher Secondary School in the year of 1985 By the selfless service of TMHNU Management members, Continuous support of the people, guidance of educational officers, charity of teachers and by the Eager of the Students, this school has growed to a grand success with the strength of 3817 students and 94 teachers..
The school was initially comes into existence with 38 students and 2 staff members. The school now grows into a large one with 3817 students and 94 staff members. It is noteworthy that the school is one of the biggest Government Aided Primary Schools in Tamilnadu. Such an enormous growth was achieved by the dignitaries of Theni Melapettai Hindu Nadar Uravinmurai with their service oriented strenuous efforts. Now the school is located inside the N.S.Boys school campus with finely built infrastructure from 1985 onwards, which was shifted from the present Edamal street campus. The school is highly divine and it constantly inculcates Knowledge, Learning, Discipline and Multifaceted activities in the minds of the young saplings. The education provided by the school is highly qualitative and quantitative. The school sprouts its branches by many bifurcations throughout Theni district and imparts life oriented education to all the people irrespective of caste and creed to the downtrodden society.

The School also has a well established library with many colourful books for the children to read and follow. Each classroom has light , fan and speaker facility.
